We, Government Model College, Kaziranga strive to impart holistic education among all students which in turn will lead to excellence in the education system and to prepare young individuals for imbibing fruitful knowledge, significant skills and empathy towards the needy people of the society. Being a rural based college, it endeavours to fortify students with the skills available locally that suit the changing global scenario of the present-day society making them responsive towards academic excellence, manifold career opportunities as well as self-employability. Keeping in mind the National Education Policy, 2020 which is at the threshold of implementation, our mission is aligned with this strategy as it seeks to emphasize inclusive, holistic, situation friendly and sustainable education for all.

Our mission also includes the perpetual nourishment of an affirmative approach to enlighten students with a vast pool of knowledge garnering from around the world together with those from the local and rural areas of Kaziranga. Our stand as to identify the college as a distinguished educational and social establishment where simultaneous importance is given to formal, non-formal as well as occupational or vocational learning, where the process of teaching is not restrained to the four walls of the classroom. Being visionary in approach, the college endeavours to create a group of erudite personalities who with their charismatic presence in the society can make Kaziranga proud in particular and the country in general. The college is hopeful to productively inculcate the sense of integrity, honesty and elegant behaviour among students irrespective of class and caste so that each of them can be the quintessence of a good citizen of the nation.
